Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – July 2025
The parenting interview program “Lili’s Hour”, produced by the family-focused social enterprise The Hour Lilies Project (童社会), will begin airing on The Interview (访问网 / The Interview) starting July 19, 2025, with new episodes released every Saturday. This collaboration aims to bring this thoughtful and down-to-earth parenting program to more families.
Lili’s Hour is hosted by Liew Li Li, a former news anchor with 8TV and now a mother of two primary school children. The Hour Lilies Project, founded by three mothers, is dedicated to combining reading, creativity, and empathy through programs and activities to support families and nurture a more culturally literate and compassionate next generation.
Lili’s Hour approaches parenting from the perspective of parents, featuring interviews with educators, creators, industry experts, and fellow parents. The program responds to the challenges and frustrations many parents face in raising children today. It encourages parents and children to watch and discuss together, rebuilding understanding and trust within families through open dialogue.
The first season, consisting of four episodes, premiered on YouTube in June. Starting July 19, The Interview Asia will release the episodes weekly on Saturdays. Moving forward, The Interview will continue to publish Lili’s Hour interviews on its platform and develop extended features and reports to broaden the program’s impact and reach a wider audience.
Goh Yen Theng, co-founder of The Hour Lilies Project, shared:
“As parents, we are overwhelmed by shallow online content. In this age of fragmented and sometimes misleading information, we want to provide parents with something more solid and practical. That’s the reason behind launching Lili’s Hour—through conversations with experts, we hope to help parents find answers to their toughest questions so we can all raise the next generation with more confidence.”
Tan Boon Kooi, Founder & Content Director at The Interview, remarked:
“There’s already too much content today designed just to grab attention. Over time, people start to crave something more old-fashioned—content that is intellectual, structured, and warm. Lili’s Hour fits that perfectly. It doesn’t rely on gimmicks—it’s honest, solid, and rooted in real-life experiences. It’s the kind of content that quietly stays with you and grows over time.”
